OLLI courses for the eight -week fall term (September 19- November 11, 2016)

The fall 2016 catalog lists courses, special events and ongoing activities at all three locations (Fairfax, Reston and NOVA-Loudoun). Fairfax courses are denoted by "F", Reston courses are denoted by "R", and Loudoun courses are denoted by "L". Fall Registration begins Tuesday, August 16, 2016, and ends on Thursday, August 25. 2016. Registration Procedures.  OLLI has an easy-to-use online registration system that more than half of members now use; we strongly encourage you to register online by visiting the Member Portal <https://olligmu.augusoft.net/> (please call the office at 703-503-3384 if you have questions or problems with registering online). If you prefer to register manually, complete the REGISTRATION<http://ollidev2.earthcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Spring2015RegistrationformrevED.pdf> form, enclose payment for membership (if applicable) and mail the materials to OLLI or hand deliver it to the office.  (** Note ** No hand deliveries will be accepted for fall term 2016).  It is best to register early, during the OLLI "registration window,"  (which is indicated on the back of the course catalog) in order to get priority access to classes.  Registrations can be made, however, at any time during term. Classes with fees are paid only after you are notified that you are eligible for enrollment in the class.

Drop or Add a Course.  The member portal only allows members to add a course (not drop a course). To add a course, select "request class"/"add to cart" and follow the registration procedures. To withdraw from a course, you must fill out and turn in to the office an add/drop form. You may also add a course with this form.

Getting the Courses You Want. Courses and activities are limited by available space or other factors. The most important thing you can do to improve your chances of getting the courses and activities you want is to list them in priority order of their importance to you on the Registration Form. If courses are not over-subscribed, you will be enrolled in the courses you have requested. For the relatively few over-subscribed courses, registration is filled by priority group (priority ones first, then priority twos, etc.), and when there are not enough slots, remaining available slots for that priority group will be filled by 'lottery' using computer-generated numbers.
